Happy Holi!

I am just staring into the ceiling as I think about Holi. About colors. What is the philosophical significance of colors?

Maybe they help us understand that the diversity of people, cultures, personalities, and ideas around us makes our world better and interesting.

It saddens me to see that our diversity is sold back to us as catastrophic differences by vested interests. I can’t imagine a world where all of us thought alike – one flavor of ice cream? Really?

I think this festival is more appropriately celebrated if we look at the various colors those around us add to our lives. The disagreements and the debates that make us ideate and create.

Here’s to learning from each other and making space for each other to exist – because that is what makes for the most beautiful rainbow 🌈.
