The NJ Show
I don’t need wings to fly,
All I need is the open sky..
Tell me I can’t, it’s a long shot,
I’ll get it done, without a thought..
I’m one and many, all at the same time,
I will have the stars and still want more, and that, my friend, is no crime.
I penned this down after my hour-long chat with Sarah, founder at Essajees, and a renowned mom-fluencer. Over the course of our rainy walk, I got a glimpse into the life of Sarah, the boss, wife, mother, founder, and influencer.
It is incredible how easily the world expects women to wear so many hats without realizing how much of a responsibility each one brings with it. But Sarah seems to smile through it all and cruise through life.
This is very personal to me, because I have close female friends who live and work in the US, who told me why india doesn’t feel like home – excuse of the obvious and numerous challenges and hurdles a woman has to face and accept here.
While I did and do agree with the fact that we are far from where we need to be I’m terms of providing aspiring women leaders the right environment to succeed, I do think those like Sarah are doing it one new milestone at a time.
It is difficult to quantify how her work will directly influence on young women to dream and reach for the stars, but after this short conversation, I can safely say that Sarah will make the world a compassionate and safe place.
Yes, I plan on diving into her story and her ambitions very soon. Stay tuned for her episode on The NJ Show.
